Hati Emas/ Golden Heart - M. Nasir (Lyric Translation)

Salam to all. Here is my next lyric translation for M. Nasir song; Hati Emas.

Walking in the arid land,
the sun is gripping the chest,
dust on the streets become a loyal friend.

No else my aim
but golden heart that I look for,
the story at the end of the world,
why couldn't I find it.

Oh! heard that fine voice,
like I heard and then it disappeared,
it said go home o my child
it's not here.

Travelling... Enough already I'd travelled,
where to, does light goes oh!
Looking for,
golden heart is not easy.
At this time do you even care?

Perhaps you do have,
the pure sacred golden heart.
I wish to be your friend
till the end of my life

Travelling... Enough already I'd travelled,
where to, does light goes oh!
Looking for golden heart is not easy.
At this time do you even care?
Perhaps forever I couldn't find it.

Okay the original lyric and the video are posted below:

Hati Emas

Berjalan di tanah gersang Mentari mencengkam dada Debu-debu di jalanan
Menjadi teman setia Tiada lain tujuanku Hati emas yang ku cari Kisahnya di hujung dunia Mengapa tak ku temui Oh! Terdengar suara halus Bagai dengar dan menghilang Katanya pulanglah oh anakku Ia tiada di sini Kembara Puas sudah ku mengembara Ke mana perginya oh cahaya Mencari hati emas bukannya mudah Di masa kini adakah kau peduli Mungkinkah dikau miliki Hati emas murni suci Inginku menjadi sahabatmu Hingga akhir hayat nanti Kembara Puas sudah ku mengembara Ke mana perginya oh cahaya Mencari hati emas bukannya mudah Mungkin selamanya takkan aku temui

Apokalips - M. Nasir (Lyric Translation)

Salam to all.
Last time I logged in my blog was to post my first attempt ever to translate Malay lyric. It was song by Wings of Lena Diulit Intan. Today, I wish to post the second lyric which I had finished translate the best as I could. (Indeed I might ruined the song who knows). It is the song of M. Nasir - Apokalips. Famous singer, composer, actor, producer, and etc. etc. relating the art world perhaps. No wonder people call him as Sifu M.Nasir.

Apocalypse

1 2 3 Do Re Mi
Aliff Baa Taa A B C
what to be
will be
Rain surely would stop

There're times I love to make friends
There're times I love to be alone
There're times I love to travel
There're times I love to relax

There're times you love to make friends
There're times you love to be alone
There're times you love to travel
There're times you love what I love

Life and fate is like roller coaster
Ups and downs come around
Anytime can turns up and down
Apocalypse
1 2 3 Do Re Mi

what to be
Aliff Baa Taa A B C
what to be
will be
Rain surely would stop
There're times we love to make friends

There're times we love to be alone

There're times we love to travel
There're times we laugh
Life and fate is like roller coaster
Ups and downs come around
Anytime can turns up and down
Apocalypse

There're times we love to make friends
There're times we love to be alone
There're times we love to travel
There're times we laugh

Lena Diulit Intan - Slumber Lulled by Intan (Lyric Translation)

This song I think is the first Bahasa Melayu song's lyric which I tried to translate it into English. I posted this one on a lyric websites (MusixMatch). At the moment I was just looking for the lyric for Rock hit song "Lena Diulit Intan" by Wings. I just listened to the song online on YouTube. From the moment where it all started.

I found a button for translation for this lyric. Then when I clicked, there was none translation available (of course laa Malay song right). Then it popped in my mind that why don't I try to translate it into English. At least I treat it as my lesson to empower my English skill in trying translating poetic or something just like blablabla wording into English language. Perhaps I ruined the lyric - definitely no doubt about it. But why don't give it a try meh??? Someone else may review and improve it if they want (if ever people care). So, here is the translation. I still reviewing it if I got to open this file again. Got several words and phrases that sound not so convincing and really conveying the real meaning of the lyric. Maybe the diction chosen are not the best one. Somehow I'd rather translate it in not so literally manner and more towards in context approach. Nevertheless, it mixed up.

Slumber lulled by Intan

As I recall,
we've made then
in a party
your lovely face
was so attractive
and so it shook my heart.

It was like getting lulled by
a dream when I saw you
I wish you to be my shine
to enlighten my life

Oohhh... nothing is so beautiful
like times being with you
your chuckles shone away
the craving shine
craving for being loved
like a loving couple
ooooh

You have filled
the void in my heart
made me a man
with such a 'meaningfullness' oohhh

It was so touching
your words was a deep confession
not a mere poetic wording
but a sincere and serious one oohh.

The original lyric:

Lena Diulit Intan
Seingat aku
Kita pernah bertemu dulu

A Dilemma with Tolibul Ilm fi ad-deen

Tolibul ilm fi ad-deen & bigoted partyless politic ideology

Recently, when I scrolled down my FB walls for any update, I was stumbled upon some status regarding national politic issues in the country by some fellow FB friends. These fellow friends, some of them are students and some  already graduating their first degrees in Islamic studies. The moment I saw the status as usual I looked up the comments for the status. I am apolitical and do not really care to have a fight over petty political issues especially when dealing with multiparty politics.

It was a shock and I was disappointed at some of them who used rude language while commenting and arguing in the status comments. There was a fella who accused one party in state commit corrupt things and just accusing and provoking the other fella. The others came and starts everything. A fight in social media. Not everyone but some. Where is their concern about adab and akhlak when conversing with one another.  It just  made me upset and disappointed to see such expected one to be so well-educated  in fundamental Islamic studies to be such wild and ‘ruthless’ on internet. Now you see that heart problems, emotion, hasad doesn’t prefer anyone. Regardless what background you are, the chance to get ‘infested’ with such heart parasite is widely open unless you get prepared.

Actually I had wrote this notes last year. To be exact it was on 04 ‎Disember ‎2016 @ ‏‎13:01:38. Only now in this 2017 got chance & will to publish here. The tone of my writing perhaps quite emotional.  However, I'd got some point to put in here.

My Childhood Imagination

Jack and the Giant Slayer tale
Photo: Project Fandomm

When I was young, I always thinking about the world around me. About everything that is familiar and natural. It can be the lines of an army of ants getting to their nest or the cloud in the sky. Somehow my thinking also comes to the part of the god. Where does the god stay? You know already a kid has such a creative imagination. Once I thought that there is a powerful man or creature who sit above the heaven and He is monitoring all of us and the nature beneath Him.

Maybe I was influenced by the tales of the West. I am sure that all of us have heard the tale of Jack and the Giant Slayer. Of course it is totally wrong and God is incomparable with anything else of His creatures. Subhaanallah ‘ammaa yasifuun. That was an old story a long time ago, by the way, I still knew nothing. When I recall it back, it is kind of funny thinking. But in other way, it is quite good as since young I had ever thinking about big thing and the environment. Somehow this could stimulate the mind and my thinking.

To nurture the mind of a child, we must give exposure to him regarding the fundamental of the nature. Tell him about how natures work. Who creates the nature? Tell him about the God. Unless you are an atheist or an agnostic (may Allah guides you). Attracts him to be more conscious on environment. Be an observer of the nature. All of these could stimulate and create an active mind of the child.

By the way, it could connect the neutron cells in the brain. You know about this right? At least at some point we might heard about this neutron through a milk brand advertisement video clip in Malaysian TV. They claim that by drinking the milk with a special ingredient or essence could stimulate the brain’s neutron cells. I do not know how true is this fact? Or it just an advertisement myth or simply a wrong fact. What a paradoxical statement, how can a fact could be wrong as it is fact. Merely a wrong fact is not a fact at all. Whatever!!!

Bedtime story session

Simply nurture your child’s mind with creative thinking and imagination because it helps your child to grow. Some people nowadays used to read a bedtime story to their kids. Well that could be one of the ways. Perhaps you simply choose the right story. By the way, it is the norm of the Western to read bedtime story. However, in our Malay culture too there is some kind of the same norm. Back then and in some places today, the grandma or grandpa or simply momma tells some folk tales. In Malay folks we do have Pak Pandir tales. A character of an old man who is a little bit dumb with his funny actions due his dumbness. We do have a tale of Sang Kancil and Buaya. Sang kancil (mousedeer) who is highly intelligent could manage to escape from the Buaya (crocodile) who want to eat Kancil.

Last word, we are rich with many Nusantara tales. So why not let the kids grow their imagination with those tales. But not to forget the reality. Tell them the actual thing too. Too many tales could corrupt the kids’ mind. They perhaps would be trapped in the world of imagination. That is what happen to some kids in the Western. A kid talks to his imaginative friend.

Anecdotes on the Past General Election – PRU 13

Photo: my.news.yahoo
Salam. This time I would to like to post my old writing on the past general election (GE) in Malaysia. Of course it is just the old story. But who bothers? Here, there are two parts of writing. The first one is an anecdote of mine regarding the coming PRU 13 (GE). While the second is my comment post-PRU 13. It was written at the time I was undergraduate back then. Need not to mention there is little editing as the anecdote was not complete. Here you go;

__________________________
The first:

“Tonight, I’m just doing nothing. Facebooking and surfing the internet. What is the most fascinating/hot issue in the internet/web right now? If you asking me, my answer would be one and the only one; that is the political fever. Everyone in everywhere in this country is in the mood of political phenomena. In Malaysia the political voting season is called as PRU in short name or Pilihanraya Umum. If it is literally translated into English it is called as General Election. This year is the thirteenth General Election or PRU 13.”

“Every political observer and also the layman including me too is so convinced that this PRU 13 would be the most controversial/hot election ever in Malaysia after PRU 12 in 2008. Back then in 2008, a radical change or at least major change had had occurred in the election whereas the opponent parties in the Malaysian parliament had won quite a big number of parliament and state legislative assembly seats in several states. The opponents had successfully able to form new states government. The states were Selangor, Penang, Kedah, and Perak (for a while-before turned back to BN). Need not to mention here the Kelantan state as it was already being the opponent party’s state for about 20 years then. Hence, for this PRU 13 it is going to be more interesting for us to foresee and to await for the results as the then government and the opponent have had learnt lesson from the mistakes that they made in the last general election in 2008. For the then government, they would be more ready with the next coming PRU 13. Perhaps, they are. Just wait for the result.”

_____________________________
The second one:

The last sentence of this piece of writing (above) is made in the last minute in the election season in Malaysia. It was on 19/04/13 at 01.29 hours. The GE 13 was held on 05/05/13. Now, at the time I am writing this note again, Malaysia have had the election vote casting day and we have had new government appointed for federal level. To be Malaysia ruling party. The government would be the previous government, which is the BN allies. There were so many rumours regarding the vote casting. There was a speculation and also allegation that the won parties had made some cheating in the election. Some of the allegations are the issue of Bangladeshi and other foreigners who had cast the vote and blackout at the election centres during the process of calculating the votes especially in Kuala Lumpur. Instead, there had been many rumours that blackout had had also occurred in other states.

Photo: The League of Moveable Type

After the election day, the opposition allies had made a rally and petition regarding the cheating issues. The rally had been called as blackout. It had been organised in almost every state in the peninsular of Malaysia. I am not sure that there had been a rally or demonstration in Sabah and Sarawak. I have to check it back. Now on, I am writing this note directly out of my mind and from my limited memory. Truly, after the election results, I seldom check and go through newspaper or mind about the Malaysian news especially on the politic. Maybe I was quite frustrated with the election process, the issues and also the result. Noted that I did not fully support the opposition to win or even the government to rule this country. However, I was pretty sure that I wanted to let the PAS – the opposition party – to win the State’s seat in Kelantan. PAS had been the government for more than twenty years ago.

What do I really want (as a layman) from Malaysian politic? I have my own aspiration for the politic in this country. Yeah it could be quite the same as some academician or scholar in Malaysia because I agreed with their opinion and aspiration for Malaysia future. To talk about politic in Malaysia is just like a kid tends to talk about philosophy of the level of al-Ghazali, al-Farabi, Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. In spite of that fact, I still need to talk about it by hook or by crook as it affects my life. You may ignore politic but bear in mind whether you follow or not the politic, it does affects your life.

I want Malaysia to be more mature in politic. What I have seen in Malaysia, the politic is a race based politic. It is a party-based politic. Party is okay, however, the fact that the party is a racial based party is something that quite disappointing me. I know about the history of today’s party. How it had been founded and why it is founded, and by whom and for whom. Be it a racial based party or what, it still can be tolerated as Malaysia is a unique country with multi-racial. Anyone cannot deny this fact. The saddest thing is all the parties in general use the race sentiment or raise racial based issue in obtaining their votes or support from the grass-roots. Sometimes to the extent that it could causes a racial riot among the Malaysian.

I am one of the youngsters or someone called us as Y-generation who actually felt fade up or frustrated with this kind of political environment. What is it really the most important thing for a country to be success in any era? Is it prosperity, wealth, money, or what? No, it is the cooperation, collaboration, and respect amongst the multi-racial people in the country. If we still fight one another, how come this state could excel in developing a civilised nation and developed country.

The root for the integration is the language and communication and interaction amongst the multi-racial people. A Malay must befriend with a Chinese, Indian and the others and vice versa. They must have a chance to interact one another in order to understand their feeling, needs, and perception of a race to another. The key for this interaction is school. It is the best place for a young generation to have communication with one another and get to know about the other races. There had been a plan and strategies by the government for this kind of school but the cooperation of these various races are really poor and disappointed. Need not to mention which race is really reluctant to this agenda. I do not want to be racist but somehow that is what happening here in Malaysia.

‘Beras’ Siam, Kelantan & Me

Photo: Kosmo
It is such a pleasure to be writing again here in my first ever blog that I have created for the past five years ago. Actually, I did write some posts in my second blog: Tokdin Tuman but it was not so consistent. As I mentioned before that my second blog is created purposely for my Bahasa Melayu writing. My objective is clear; to organize my blog's post. I don't want my blog becomes messy with bilingual posts.

Now, in the beginning of new year of 2014, I wish that I'll be more consistent and productive in writing up my post here. Forget not to wish a Happy New Year even though it is late but like the saying: better late than never right? Let's go straight to my topic for this post.

___________________________________

I haven’t be in Thailand officially. Yaa, even though I live in a place which is located pretty close to the border of Malaysia-Thailand but I haven’t. To be honest I had once crossed the Golok River unofficially. I mean that I went there without legal documentation, namely passport or even border pass. Of course, I couldn’t justify what I had done is good – travel there illegally – but at that time I was just in secondary school (maybe in 14-15 years old – not remember). However, it was just for a while and I just went to the riverbank of the Siam territory only. I was following my cousins who went there for shopping some goods such as Siam rice. Actually, I quite forgot maybe the main item would be the ‘Beras’ Siam (Siam Rice). Then, we travelled back to ‘Malaysia’ I mean riverbank of Mundok, Kelantan. I thought it was a very short trip, not even an hour trip in the Thai territory.

In Kelantan, it is so well-known that Siam rice is very tasty and have the fine and good texture. I could firmly assure that almost all Kelantanese do not eat Malaysian rice or local rice even the paddy planter themselves. They would prefer Siamese rice rather than local as they said it was so scrummy, yummy, luscious, scrumptious, delicious and all sort of words ended with –ious (LOL). When they eat local rice, they find that the texture of the rice grains are just like the texture of glutinous rice which is not taken in a daily meal as staple food except for certain dish only.  Malay always use glutinous rice or ‘beras pulut’ in their special feast menu that is ‘pulut’. There are a plenty of ‘pulut’ dishes. For instance, ‘pulut kuning’ or literally yellowish glutinous rice cooked with coconut milk or called as ‘santan’. Perhaps, the other Malaysians from the other states would love the taste of Siam rice as well as Kelantanese if they have chance. At least they will find a distinguished feature and texture of the rice. To me, I love Siam rice very much. Of course because I have been eating these rice since I was a kid.

How the Kelantaneses do get the supply of this Siam rice? There are two ways. One is by the legal process of importing these Siam rice stocks. This way is of course causes the increase in the price of this commodity. Why is the price rise up? The answer is because of the tax is imposed on the commodity that are brought/imported into the country. Often, the layman doesn’t prefer this one due to its price. We can get these stocks by buying from any groceries store. While the other way is by smuggling the stock of Siam rice. This one is the main and popular way of getting the supply of this rice. The reason for this would be the location of Kelantan which is a neighbour to Thailand. Adding to that, the territory of Malaysia and Thailand is only divided by a very narrow river of Golok. The smuggler of this rice or other goods can pass easily the border without being detected by the custom, police, or immigration. The fact that there are houses at the river bank of the Golok River which has made the smuggler’s job easier as they can operate in these settlement.

Sometimes, I wonder how could Siam rice is better than our local rice. Is that Siam rice is so special that we, Malaysian could not even plant the same type of this rice seeds here in Malaysia land? I believe that Malaysia has its own institution or body for doing research on agricultural area for instance in Malaysia government we do have Agricultural Department. Worst still, as to my personal view local rice could not achieve the same quality, taste and texture as Siam rice. I think that Malaysia should send more local people including the selected farmers to Thailand paddy field and study how Siamese plant the paddy. Actually, we had already sent a group of researchers as to my knowledge. I heard someone talked about this before. Maybe it was not just for this purpose only. Perhaps Malaysia land is not so suitable to produce the same quality of Siam rice even though we plant the same seeds as theirs here. Whatever. Simply let the experts talk about this issue. I just highlight my personal view as a rice lover.

We, the Kelantanese always claim that Siam rice is very good. Now, there are some questions. How bad is that local rice? Why most of Kelantanese prefer Siam rice more than local one? In fact, I think that it is not only Kelantanese love to eat Siam rice but also people at the surrounding of Malaysia-Thailand border namely Kedah (Bukit Kayu Hitam, Sik), Perlis (Padang Besar), and Perak (Gerik). The problems with Malaysia rice as I told before is the texture which is too glutinous or sticky and its taste is just like the ‘beras pulut’ – glutinous rice. Besides, it is too soft / tender and could be just like the texture of porridge especially when cooking with more water. Moreover, the size of rice grain is a little bit small. In fact, we need extra water when cooking Siam rice. The grain is relatively longer and bigger in size than ours.

To me, if someone asks which rice I prefer the most, my answer of course would be Siam rice. It doesn’t mean that I could not take local rice when having a meal. It is just a matter of choice and chance to get the rice. If I can get the rice easily at the reasonable price, I would certainly choose Siam rice. Unfortunately, Siam rice in other places such as in Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Selangor, etc. is hardly to get with a cheaper price. When in Kelantan of course I would eat Siam rice as it is easy to get the supply.
Okay for right now I shall stop here. If I have time and will, I shall continue sharing my story on 'Beras' Siam favourite.
Happy Eating Beras Siam!!!

A Little Bit Change in My Blog

Salam.

Here I would like to make a change in my blog. The change is in my Tinta ToKdin blog I'll no longer post my Bahasa Melayu posting here. All of my Bahasa writing would be posted in my new blog named as Tokdin Tuman. Let's have a visit to my new blog.

Therefore, in this blog I'll just post my English writing. Why I'm doing this? Yay maybe just to make it in a proper manner. That means in this blog there will be no more mix posting between the English and Bahasa posting. I do think that my blog is a little bit in mess as sometime I post in Bahasa and at one time I post in English. Now it would easy and proper as I have another blog specially made for Bahasa Melayu posting. However, my last posting in Bahasa in this blog would be remained here.
Okay, that's all for your information.
By the way happy Ramadhan for all Muslims. Ramadhan Kareem.

Let Muslim Do Whatever They Ought To – Isn’t That Their Rights

Here I am going to raise a well-known issue in globe (though it might be old issue). Yah it is about the controversial issue of Muslim women are prohibited to wear their veil/niqab or just cover up their hair/hijab in certain country such as in France. All of these only happen in western country where the Muslims are the minority. By the way, the word Muslim is derived from the Arabic word which refers to a man whose religion is Islam. While for woman the exact word is Muslimah. Okay, let’s stop discussing the linguistic matter here.

In European countries, it is well-known that the people there are seriously struggle for the establishment of a freedom in society as well as the world. They would likely to utter and even mock the Muslims especially the women (Muslimah) in Islam who wear the veil or hijab. To them it is an injustice act towards those Muslimah. They simply think that wearing the hijab is an act of oppression or subjugation to women. Firstly, forgive me for one second as I tend to burst into laughter when I heard the statement. Especially the statement comes from the people who fight for freedom. Yah, to be honest they need to review the definition of freedom. That would be the first argument to the statement. At least there could be two arguments on this issue.

First, do them aware that by the time the enforcement of rule that prohibit the veil is launched, they are already initiating an act of oppression to Muslims. Yah, it is oppression as the Muslims do want to wear a hijab or veil on their willingness as they are aware about the teaching of Islam. Nobody is forcing them to do so as they revert to Islam peacefully and agree to the rules and regulations in Islam. Freedom means that anyone can practise their religious activity or routine without any hindrance. Can anyone in European countries find that Singh men are prohibited from wearing their turban? In my knowledge as far as possible, there is none in fact in United Kingdom, even the Singh policemen can wear turban while they are working. Therefore, why they bother to ban Muslims from wearing the hijab or veil.
The next argument is why they barefacedly interfere with the teaching of Islam. Do not they know that the veil is not just a cultural matter but it is a religious one? Are there any of Muslims in those countries ever try to prohibit or protest the Christian teachings or other religion faith just like what they had did to the Muslims. Nope, not even once in history. Thus, this oppression is such a matter of Islamophobia that has been rising up tout de suite now on especially after the 9/11 incident.

To conclude in brief all of the action that have been taken on the Muslim community are such the injustice action which are denying and disregarding the right for Muslim community in those countries. They do not even have right to say that the veil or hijab is a matter which against the human rights. By the way, the Muslims are not oppressing the women right; instead, the non-Muslim community or establishment do so to them. Hence, simply let Muslim do whatever they ought to as it is their right, isn’t it.

Hujan & Makna Kehidupan- 1

Valentine's Day Comes Again...2

Assalamualaikum.
Thanks Allah. We can meet again here in this cyber world. Once again I’d like to further our discussion on Valentine’s Day. Now on in this short post I’ll tell you about the history of this day.

It is said that Valentine’s Day is a day related to the day of Christian Priests that were martyred years ago. These priests are called as Valentines as in that year a lot of Christian martyrs were named as Valentines. While for the Valentines that were celebrated or honoured on 14th February are Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni.

The Valentine of Rome was martyred about AD 269 ago and was buried on the Via Flaminia. His relics are in the Church of Saint Praxed in Rome and in Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church in Dublin, Ireland.

While Valentine of Terni was a Bishop of Interamna about AD 197 ago and it is said that he has been martyred during the persecution under Emperor Aurelian. He was also buried on Via Flaminia but in a different location than Valentine of Rome. His relics are at the Basilica of Saint Valentine in Terni.[1]

To sum up this short discussion, Valentine’s Day is a day that is related to the Christian Celebration of their religious priest that was called as Valentine: a martyr priest. That’s why we, as Muslim, are not allowed for celebrating this Valentine’s Day.

Yeah, there are arguments that said today celebration of Valentine’s Day is not related to the ancient history of that Valentine but just for romance and love only but still it’s called as Valentine’s Day and yet there are more negative values arise from celebrating this day. How many Malay youngster or Muslim in this country have been caught for doing explicit things on this day? You see and think...it's up to you. Changes start with you, yourself.

Valentine's Day Comes Again...1

Assalamualaikum.
Thanks Allah, I get back to write here. Okay, as I see in the calendar today is 11th February 2012. Yeah, it’s Saturday right now and this Tuesday it would be 14th February. What is it so important with this day as I need to mention it here? Hah, nothing it’s nothing special but for certain people they are awaiting for this day. Especially for those who are in love with somebody.

What day is 14th February? It’s a Valentine's Day. Y’all must familiar with it and someone might have celebrated this day. Unfortunately, it’s not advisable for us to celebrate this day with anyone who we love so much even those people that we love is our own legitimate partner; hubby/honey or somewhat. Why?? What is so wrong with Valentine haah? We don’t mean anything harm or bad things. We just want to strengthen our relationship or love we our partners. The answer is still no, no, no…

I don’t need to explain more on this topic. Y’all know about the fact of this Valentine's Day. If you look back at its history, it’s not good for us the Muslim to follow the act of the non-Muslim to celebrate this day. Even though your intention is good but that’s not the way. We don’t need to wait for certain day in improving or showing how truly or deeper our love for the love one. It would be better if you renew your love in everyday lives. Start your morning with smile to your love one, hubby o whatsoever you call your partner and treat them with the best as you can.
Wasalam.

Get Back to Blogging

Assalamualaikum.
Alhamdulillah, get back to write again in this blog after being silent for a while.  A while?? Is it really just for a while or even forever and ever. Whatsoever, I don’t care. Indeed, I was so busy (or even lazy) to keep it up with any post here. Yaah, since I just furthering my study in degree, I stopped from thinking about writing anything.

Stop mumbling about nothing, let’s go to the point. Y’all know that we are just entering New Year, 2012, for Gregorian calendar and for Chinese, they just entering New Year as follow to their Lunatic calendar; which is Dragon Year if not mistaken. I do think that it’s not too late for me to wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR. While for Muslim we already enter this New Year or Maal Hijrah for several months ago. Salam Maal Hijrah 1433 even it’s quite late.

That’s the unique live in Malaysia; we do have a multi-ethnic and culture in a single state. For every ethnic has its own culture, rules, ways of life that would end up as a colourful country. However, for Muslim even though we do respect and appreciate the other culture but watch out; not to forget one precious thing; that is do not even get involved or do believe with all the superstitious related to Lunatic New Year and so on.

Okay, it’s enough for now, I’m not in the mood to write a longer post.
Salam…Tokdin..

I Couldn’t Believe it !!!

I could not believe that I pass this test. Yes, it is real. I already pass the driving license test. Actually it is not something that pretty big enough to be mentioned right here. However, to be honest it is something that really means to me. What is so fascinating to me about passing this little test I think?

Firstly, I only pass the test after taking a second test or retest. It sound that I am so bad at riding the bike. Oh yeah, I am forgot to mention that I passed the driving license test for Motorcycle B2 License only and not the car driving license yet. Of course it is a matter of money, money and money. If I have plenty more money at the time I am taking the license I could take both license – motorcycle and car- for sure but due to money problems and time I do not have the chance to take both license at the same time. To be honest it is not all about money, the time actually becomes the obstacle for me.

Normally, for Malaysian students or youngsters they would take driving license test after taking the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), as they have a lot of time for taking all the courses and the test for the license. In Malaysia, the minimum age for teenager to take the driving license test for motorcycle is 16-year-old while for car driving license as I recall back is 18-year-old. That is why the students tend to take the driving test just after they have finished the SPM examination.

My dream bike
In contrary to that, I took the test quite late as I have entered the university. Sometimes, when think about it I felt quite regret as it is such a loss to me as I have no license I became a little bit immobile. The situation is just like a person who has been in paralysed and do not able to move a lot. For university student, it is important for them to have transport in order to look for information and preparing the assignment for their courses. Transport is one thing, the license for driving those transports is quite important too. How can we drive a car or ride a bike without having the license unless we want to get ticket from police.

Back to my driving license test story, at first test actually I did perform well for all sections of the test. Undoubtedly, no one would ever think that they are doing very well in their test or whatsoever. After waiting for more than an hour nervously as I was afraid that I did not pass the test I lastly got my test result. The test result slip was given by calling the candidate’s name one by one and lastly the longest waiting ended and it was really disappointed as the slip clearly stated that I failed. Full stop and no more begging for reviewing back your result. The result is final. I need to fill the form for retest.

What is the most memorable and quite funny one is the reason for I failed in the test was I did not neatly tie up the helmet. I repeat it just about the helmet that was not neatly tie up. I did tie the helmet but just the end of the helmet belt which was not perfectly slip inside the helmet. The end of helmet belt was freely dangling under my helmet. While for the second test, thanks god that I passed but I did several mistakes. At the beginning of the test for the second part which is test on the road.

For my turn, I got the bike from someone who already done the test and the bike is still on. So I needed to switch off the bike and for that I needed to free the gear first but I did not. That was the big mistake actually as when I tried to start the engine back the bike was likely to jump off the road. Carefully I covered up so that the examiner did not realize it. Unfortunately, as I quite shocked of what had happened I became more nervous than usual. I did more mistakes. At last when I got the result, I passed the test for sure. I could not believe it. After did several mistakes I still can pass the test. Maybe the examiner became more open and not too strict as usual as they aware that we took the test for second time.
Alhamdulillah...
